At Homecroft Residential Home, our objective is to deliver exceptional care and companionship to those under our care. Our team of experienced Carers strive to ensure that each resident has 24-hour assistance and is treated with dignity and respect. We understand how important it is to maintain independence, while at the same time receiving the support that is needed to live a fulfilling life.
Services
Residential Care
The Registered Manager, Care Providers and staff aim to provide a warm homely atmosphere, where residents can maintain their dignity and individuality, whilst receiving 24-hour care. Care needs are assessed and managed by Mrs Sue Meakin (R.M.A.) supported by Clinical Nurse Managers from Wyndley Grange Nursing Home. Together with a team of dedicated staff, who possess a wide range of skills and experience.
​Homecroft Residential Home delivers a variety of services designed to meet the distinct needs of our residents. These services cover medical support (including medication administration) and personal care, as well as housekeeping and leisure activities. Homecroft also develops nutritious meal plans, with supplementary services like physiotherapy and respite care available upon request through visiting professionals and community programs. The home organizes enjoyable events such as garden parties and afternoon tea socials, encouraging interaction among residents in the sunlit months.
Accommodation
Homecroft features 10 single bedrooms on the ground floor, with some providing direct access to the garden. An elevator connects to the first floor, which houses an additional 13 single bedrooms. All rooms come with an ensuite WC and hand basin, while most also include ensuite showers. Assisted bathing and showering amenities are available as well.
The Home also has a well-maintained garden providing a relaxing place to sit in the summer months.
Care
At Homecroft Residential Home, our focus on person-centred care ensures that each resident receives tailored support that addresses their unique needs, preferences, and personal goals. We prioritise fostering a deep understanding of every individual's history, lifestyle, and aspirations, which enables our compassionate staff to create customised care plans. By emphasising the importance of autonomy and choice, we empower our residents to maintain their dignity and participate actively in their care journey. Our holistic approach to person-centred care fosters a sense of belonging, promoting the overall well-being and happiness of everyone within the Homecroft community. Residents may participate in organised occupational therapy and physiotherapy, together with crafts and games, but privacy and individuality are respected.
All religions and denominations are welcomed and participation from local churches is encouraged. Roman Catholic, Church of England, Methodist, Baptist, Greek Orthodox and Evangelical Churches are within the local area.
